And it's not aerodynamics because it has to end in -ology.

the reason it has to end in ology is because it is for homework and it says so.

NOT EVERYTHING RELATED TO STUDY IS AN -ology WORD!

Physics is just physics
Study of stars and the universe is astronomy
Study of heat and energy is thermodynamics

Possible names for your subject:

Fluid dynamics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluid_dynamics
Aerodynamics: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerodynamics note the first sentence:
"shaping of objects that affect the flow of air, liquid or gas"

Air flow is a special aspect of fluid dynamics.

for example see websites:
http://www.sae.org/technical/papers/2004-01-2500
http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/mining/pubs/pdfs/cfdso.pdf
http://www.combustion.me.vt.edu/Projects/ACC/Denzil_John/liquid_spray_flame_dynamics.PDF

The closest thing to an -ology word would be Rheology, but that is usually applied to flow in unusual materials.

For rheology see the following website:

The study of air flow is usually just that, the study of air flow, as included when studying the flow of all gases in thermodynamics courses, fluid dynamics, and courses in heating, ventilating, air conditioning.

If you really want to learn about air flow, take courses in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and study psychrometrics.

aerodynamics. Or unless you're thinking of Meteorology but that includes more than just airflow.
