I have my sewing machine out and yards of fabric spilling on the floor. Anyone else in this situation? Making outfits for their children or themselves? What gives you ideas or motivates you to create?

What you make is up to you.Every out fit is different to reflect the personality of the wearer.A dancer could express themselves as a "Grass dancer or a Jingle dancer" Could they be a Shaw dancer a Fancy Dancer.
There are so many styles just make an outfit for your personality.
That's all I have to say about that.

I find it useful to research my own nations' artistic heritage. Using the designs, colours (nation & clan), and era fashions, promotes your own cultural heritage rather than another nation. I apply my heratage to whatever dance regaila I am making. I feel it's important keep alive the broad spectrum of Native heratiage in this country.
