The net run rate gets a little tricky for curtailed matches, or when a team does not bat 50 overs. In the latter, the run rate is calculated as if the team batted for 50 overs (versus if they were all out in the 44th over). In the former, both teams run rates are adjusted according to revised targets and revised number of overs. Anyways, why bother calculating, when you can get up-to-date net run rates, points and live scores online. I'm following all the action (including net run rates) at http://whatsthescore.in

Net run Rate is computed based on the rate at which the team scored its runs minus the rate at whihc its opponents scored runs. I would give 10 points to the previous answerer for giving a good link to how this is computed.
