a card and maybe a nice bottle of perfume, or some sort of cute basket from Bath and Body works, something small like that, same thing you would give to your best friend...

First question? How old is she? Whatever you buy needs to be age appropriate....Its no good buying Lace doiles for someone thats 21, anymore than giving lip gloss to an 80 year old is. How about a card and possibly a book or CD....Find out what her taste in things is first. If all else fails take her to a movie and let her pick.

The concensus is right: A card and a small gift. Let her know that you're thinking about her, but don't get her something serious this early into things, like a car or expensive jewelry.
