Saturday, Sunday and Monday are named after the celestial bodies, Saturn, Sun and Moon, but the other days are named after Germanic gods, Tuesday (Tiw's day), Wednesday (Woden's day), Thursday (Thor's day) and Friday (Freya's day).

Various Gods from different cultures & planets....

Sun - The Sun
Monday - The Moon
Tuesday - The Norse God Tyr
Wednesday - The Norse God Odin/Woden
Thursday - The Norse God Thor
Friday - The Norse God Frigg/Freyja
