Is that true that the harry potter books are 'actually' driving people mad. I mean I heard that these books are affecting some kids psychologically, teens trying to do magic, and there have been attemps to steel books on magic in the british library?
Do you like the concept in the harry potter stories. I think its a fantacy and is about the concept of good and evil. But...magic,... I don't know what's in Christinarity about magic, but we Muslims are against magic.
Well, I think that the R.A.B is Sirius' brother Regulus, he somehow survived, perhaps Harry'll meet him in the last book. I also wish that Sirisus is alive, because he is my most favorite character in the series, and perhaps I wouldn't have liked it that much if Gary Oldman, my favorite actor wouldn't have done Sirius.
Dumbledore's dead, and I think Snape and Malfoy'll also die. Voldemort will die, and Harry will also die. What do you think is gonna happen with Wormtail?

Um...what an odd question, but I'll answer all the same!!

Driving people mad? I think people just really like them, I once convinced my friends that I thought it was real, dressed up as Hermione on my last day of school, and dressing up again for midnight "Deathly Hallows".

I agree with you on R.A.B. and I thought that he might have survived as well, but we'll see (107 days!). I know, Sirius was my favourite character too, I cried when he died! But he had to die for the plot, Harry had to lose all his 'parent' type figures as it has to be his victory over Voldemort, thats why Dumbledore's gone. I think Snape and Malfoy stand a good chance of going, whether it's because of what they've done or because they in some way aid Harry in battle. I think Snape is good myself, and Draco might come running back he doesn't have what it takes to be a Death Eater. I don't think Harry will die though, with all he's been through (and will go through in book 7) do you really think he deserves it? As for Wormtail, he has to repay his dept to Harry so he will probably help him somehow, which may cost him his life.

And, yes, Dumbledore is dead JK has confirmed it.

Books cannot drive a person mad. If there are cases of psychological breakdowns, they are most likely due to previous mental instability. I love the Harry Potter books, but one has to keep in mind that of course, they are fantastical. That's why I hate it when people try to get the books banned from libraries. By doing so, you are limiting a child's creativity and imagination. These books are supposed to be fun, not wicked or satanic.
I agree with you in that Snape and Voldemort will die, but I think Malfoy still has something important left to do. He couldn't kill Dumbledore himself, so I don't think his story is over just yet. I have this strange theory (and please don't kill me for this) that Harry will not die, but instead will no longer be able to cope with all of the grief and loss he has suffered at Voldemort's hands. I think he will defeat Voldemort and, caught up in his own madness and sorrow, will become the next dark lord. I think Wormtail is no longer important and will most likely die with his master. Unless he begins to serve Harry...? Who knows? That's why I can't wait for the final book!

I don't think that Harry Potter books are doing anything, some kids just wanna learn something new or there friends or someone from school tried it and told them too. I didn't hear anything about the British library. Some people are totally against witch craft, but others would try and do it any day, so it kind of depends on who you ask. I don't read the series so I can't answer the last question, sorry.

I haven't heard about anyone going mad. I also think that the magic in the book is really just a side story. The real story is good vs. evil; also, the kids' everyday struggle with issues that kids deal with: Ron--the kid with a big family and is always subjected to hand-me-down clothes and other stuff, Harry--the orphan with a family he cannot relate to, and Hermione: the brainy person who feels like an outsider everywhere she goes. That is what I really think the story is about. As a teenager, I felt just like they do.
I agree with you, I think RAB is Regulus. And I really did like Sirius, it's sad that every father figure that Harry's had (Sirius and Dumbledore) died. I think Snape will die (for being a traitor on whatever side he's on), and I think Voldemorte will die. I'm excited, it sounds like you are too!!!! :)

Personally, I think everyone should read the Potter books, because they are incredibly well writtend adventure stories, with an amazing morale: that good can triumph over evil, if only we are strong enough. If that is satanic, then sign me up, Satan!

But, the character development, and tenderness of the storytelling is truly amazing, especially considering they are written by a first time novelist (whom I doubt has ever worshipped the devil).

Of course, people have wanted to jump all over her, because she has the audicity to write about magic (the horror!), and children (OH MY GOD...WE NEED TO STONE THIS WOMAN). I wonder why her books have stirred up so much backlash, but The Lord Of The Rings and The Chronicles Of Narnia are hailed as masterpieces? Some people just have so much time on their hands. Must be nice.

Before you put the books down, pick the books up, and read them. They are actually very good, and I plan on reading them to my children someday.

I still think that Snape is good and that he only "killed" Dumbledore becasue Dumbledore told him he had to, in order to prevent Draco from doing it ( hence the arguement outside Hagrids cabin where Dumbledore makes Snape promise he will do it ) I thin Snape will die, but by jumping to the way to save Harry or one of the kids. Wormtail might also have to defend Harry at least once out of obligation since Harry saved his life (when Sirius and Lupin were about to kill him) and that creates a bond between wizards. I hope Neville gets to be a hero though.

It's true there is magic in the stories, but the focus of them is how the kids stand together to help each other. There have been no reports of anyone going mad by reading them, but plenty of stories about how kids who never picked up a book are reading and having their grades in school go up because reading is finally interesting.

If one child has a strong personality or if you want, his family has given to that child a right education, there is not going to be a problem with Harry Potter's books!
