Bubble gum wrappers tend to be waxy, so wouldn't it be difficult to get it to adhere to another surface, let alone another bubble gum wrapper? Also, I'm sure the traditional starch paste would work better than industrial lubricant would work better for paper maché. Don't forget the signature mustache.

Uh no. But I have built huge mountains for model railroads. That took cardboard strips hot-glued to make a webbing then paper-towels soaked in plaster and layered onto the webbing. When dry it is ready to paint in brown tones then dry brush and sprinkle green toned ground foam, just high-lighting areas. Then "plant" trees and bushes all over.
