It's not a harvest moon! It shows up in the Fall of the year.

A harvest moon in April?
The harvest moon is the first full moon after September 21st.
Maybe in the southern hemisphere, the first full moon after March 21st might be called a harvest moon....
But no, the moon's orbit is very nearly circular, so "really close" is still only slightly closer than its average distance.

No, the moon will not crash into the earth, but if it did we would all die. My mentally unstable high school physics teacher once had us calculate the energy release from the moon crashing down on earth and it was equivalent to a medium sized nuke for every man woman and child living on the planet at the time. Sick, huh?

No, the Moon is not going to crash into Earth. And it isn't really that close. It never gets closer than about 220,000 miles.

Never has before and any ways the moon has eneough gravity of its own so it will be able to stay up with out falling to the earth. Plus it is farther away then it was hundreds of years ago so the chance of it hitting is about 0%.

No. Actually, the moon is moving away from the earth, although not very fast -- about an inch a year.
