To be successful you have to like what ever you are doing. Look at your life so far and try to decide the things that you have enjoyed doing. Keeping that in mind try to pick a field that you think you will still like in 20 years.

My daughter was a born manager. She majored in mass communications.
(she now wishes she had majored in psychology and biology but that's another story)

She works as both a database administrator and a half-time marketing person for her company. She enjoys both. She also likes human relations.

I really think being a business major is a waste of time. It's an easy major. Better to major in something like some kind of trade like medical or teaching or something, and get an MBA--an MBA is useful and my daughter is going for that or else a masters in marketing.

I have also heard that majoring in anthropology is a good major for the business world. Don't ask me how. You might google and see why.

Just what I know about the business world and college majors.

Just read anothr entry. Go to humanmetrics.com and take the Jung-Myers Briggs test right now. Then go to personalitypage.com and see what jobs you might consider.

Take the Myers Briggs assessment test. Make an appointment to see a CAREER COUNSELOR at your local community college - different than a regular school counselor.
This will narrow your focus and give you a boost in the self-esteem dept. We all need that. You're going to do great! Just keep moving forward. It's easier to steer a moving vehicle than a parked one.

I majored in MIS - I work in an office and like my job... It is like IT for business... I do IT stuff in a business area... Not like IT stuff in the IT area (the people can be very different).
