There was a bunch of rumors about this movie happening..but the flim's producers couldn't get the right's to do the movie with Ash. Ash is owned by another company and they couldn't reach an agreement. So the project is off.

ash is the mai character in the evil dead series. and that would be a stupid idea since freddy vs jason sucked.

This has been an on-going/off-going rumour for about 5 years now. Six months ago it was off again. But, that doesn't meant it isn't back on now... I would certainly love it! Ash would do those 2 some 'nice' damage, imho ;-)
