For some strange reason, some people associate being nice and being weak. Others are so self absorbed, they either have no idea they're acting like complete asses or, they simply don't care. That would be the "all that and a bag of chips syndrome."

Probably because of their social relationships with other people may have influenced them to be mean? Sometimes if people are mean to them, their anger fluctuates on other people.
Sometimes they can't really help it. If people could educate each other about the advantages of being nice, perhaps the world with have some dignity.

Some people focus on negativity. They need to make better choices. Until they seize the opportunity to move their energy to more positive thought, they will remain obsessed with the glass not only being empty, but chipped and lipstick stained.

People are nice, just sometimes you get the moment when they aren't nice. And sometimes people have those moments more often and more and more and more.... then you have either Donald Trump ("You're fired!") or my 9th grade English teacher.
