So little crumb snatchers can grab it and go "MOMMY MOMMY CAN I HAVE THIS? as they hold it up in there grubby little hands with a twinkle in their eye and the parent instead of saying no and to avoid an argument just says yes. Choice between an argument and a screaming child or 1.50 to buy some peace. Most go with the 1.50 and the peace. It's called impulse items and they are always at the checkout

Its called effective marketing...your kids see it at the very last minute and unless you are a parent willing to say no and beat that as*s for throwing a fit, then its doing what its meant to do. Drive you nuts and cause you to make an impulse buy.
