Wow, break up the Royals! How do you think they'll do this year..any improvements? Also, is Gil Meche worth picking up in fantasy?

Kc will fiinsh with a 75-87 record or thereabout and fight with Chicago for 4th place in the division. I don't know that Meche is worth picking up. As a Royals fan, I think he looked great today and earned this weeks cut of his $11 million but I'm not completely sold on him yet. They will certainly improve from last year with Gordon (who had a tough day, 1st at bat had bases loaded on opening day against Schilling - pressure!!) Shealy and Teahan for a full season. Tony Pena, Jr. looked really good today, also. I'm curious to know who the last player was before him that hit 2 triples on opening day.

First of all its only 1 game ...
Still 161 to go ....
But they will do much better than last year.
I'll say around 68 - 94.
They'll finsh in last place. They're a good young team.
Wait a couple of years and they'll be competing.
Yes Gil Meche, he's an okay pitcher that'll give you some good ks.
Don't expect him to pitch a like this again though.
He's a solid fantasy option though.

I like the Royals, but it's only 1 game. Look out for them next year.
