I forgot the name but it was like a spoof of american idol and people would go on there and they would think they were the best singers but the whole premisis was that they were actually the worst singers and they didnt know that the show was about finding the worst singer in the world. It was kind of sad because the contestants didnt know that the show was about finding the worst singer. It was on a couple years ago. Does anyone know the name of it or how the last show ended?

I remember that show. I watched a few episodes, but only because I couldn't believe that those people were totally clueless. I think they really knew they couldn't sing. I want to say that a blond won. I'm not really sure because I didn't get to see the finale, but I know she was on the show and a bad singer. At the moment I can't recall the name of the show.
It wasn't 'The Gong Show'. It was something more recent.

I think that when the people found out that this was nothing more than a cruel
trick, they would be hurt. The sad thing is the guy that thought this up wasn't one
bit concerned about the feelings of others. The last show probably ended when
they swarmed the guy that started it.

Sounds like "The Gong Show."
Worse performers you could find. But everyone took it lightly, and everyone laughed. Including the performers. No one got angry or upset. They even made a "Gong Show movie." All the acts you could NOT show on tv. Amazing movie...

It was "The Gong Show"....I remember watching it when I was a kid in the 1970s. :) It's the exact description of this show what you are describing. :)
