Sometimes comforting, because without grace, temptation would consume all of us sooner or later! At some time or another in everyone's life who has lived long enough to imagine or should I say have a Nightmare about;... the worst situation possible to live in; we have produced physically into reality in one form or another on earth. There is nothing knew that exists here on earth anymore that exists as a crime that anyone person can commit; that has not either been commited or imagined! That is sick! And sometimes I can not stand the thought of living on an infested place such as this in which eventually I will become THE problem from being so fed up and fall victim to all that comes with striking in the Mighty hand of Vengence's sake! We're all mortal. We are all going to die at some point. I don't dwell on it. I focus on living. The only time I have trouble dealing with death is when I lose someone I love. But even then, eventually I'm comforted by the knowledge that I will be reunited with them in Heaven.
Death is not the end. It's only the beginning. This mortal body isn't as important as your immortal soul. You, your spirit, never ever dies.

It really sucks, doesn't it! It seems like such a waste--over the course of our lifetimes we accumulate all sorts of valuable information and wisdom, and spend all kinds of time and effort working toward perfecting our abilities--and then one day, POOF! It's all gone and so are we.
So thank goodness that we can have "denial" and "repression" working for us, which usually do a very fine job keeping thoughts of our own mortality nicely buried way in the back of our minds. Without denial and repression we'd all be too constantly bummed out to enjoy the time that we do have here on this world of ours.

This may sound strange, but I've gotten used to it.I used to be really afraid until a near miss about a year ago.I was in a bad car wreck and my wrist was gouged out.It wasn't any kind of spiritual revelation.I'm still atheistic...but I was comfortable knowing I could've died.I sometimes wonder now what people are afraid of.Though,I hope I don't die anytime soon.I treasure my messed up life.

When we are born
and we are not scorned
our mother is there
and we do not fear
We begin our journey
in close company.
However,
when we face death,
we do so alone,
frequently,
with baited breath
How many people are about,
gives us no redoubt
It is our death and ours alone
we must face.
No one will come with us,
pace for pace.
It is this fear of being alone
that terrifies most people
and leaves them undone.
Unless some trauma
renders us unconscious
we are aware of the drama
We are dying and no one
or nothing can alter it being done.
The complete and total aloneness
of it all petrifies us.
It leaves us boneless.
Here,
at last,
no one but ourselves can face it
and in the end accept it.
Accept it because we can do nothing
to change a thing
We must accept our mortality.
and thus accept our life
in its full and inevitable fragility.
We will be no more!

Different for everyone!
Some accept the fact that they are dying, some are frightened by it, others don't care, some want to die...
People are very diverse.
They are stricken by the idea of Death in very different ways.
We are ALL individuals with different backgrounds, different ambitions, motives, interests, feelings, desires...

the beauty in living is that we are all doomed, one way or another we will all die along with all we have worked and lived for. "no immortal man is ever a happy man".

The same as knowing that you are alive. Life and death goes on with or without you.

I am? I have been around longer than having no middle. My costume changes a little now and then that's all.
