First, what's the diagnosis? Is is realistic for me to replace my own battery? If that is the problem and not the starter. Thanks.

Replacing a battery is easier than replacing spark plugs. Try jumping it and see if it starts.

It could just be a dirty battery terminal or a bad ground. Take the wires off the battery and clean up the contacts. Don't short across the battery!
Be sure you replaced the spark plug wires back to the correct plugs. Check the water level in the battery (use distilled water only) then give the battery an overnight charge. It is unlikely the problem is in the starter.

Or in case you're short on money - you could desire to do away with the starter besides - take it to an electric restore save they'd restore starters (replace the brushes) for around 30 dollars (in many situations). And no the radio will in many situations no longer paintings if the battery is lifeless. yet i assume it would desire to - i basically editted this placed up after examining the different techniques. it continues to be a stable thought to objective the battery till now removing the rest.

If the starter is clicking and not cranking and you have a charger on it, your starter is bad. If you starter is cranking and not starting cause of the new spark plugs, check the gap on the spark plug and the timing (might need to go to the dealer or shop to do that if you dont have a timing light)

If it was fine before you changed the plugs, you may have left something unplugged, or dropped something into one of the cylinders.
If you changed the plugs without any serious errors, you should be able to handle the battery.

you definitely just replaced them wrong. something is probably not screwed in properly. try to take apart everything and re-do (carefully this time) or see a mechanic.
