in some cases yes, but for me if you want to achieve something in your life you should work hard for it and not use the advantages you have. It won't be fair to others who is not that gifted in looks as you are.

No in fact I down play them especially in the office. I never wear a dress always pants, it seems to put my "guys" (yes only woman on the management team) more at ease, you know for me to be one of the guys. For where I work that's what works, if I looked too girly girl they would probably pat me on the head and send me for coffee!

Not sure "advantage" is the right word, but as part of our makeup (no pun intended), just as we use our strength, our brains, and other talents, we use our looks.
For example, I've always prided myself on being a "blender," one who with a bit of change in clothing and shaving, can appear to fit in socially with governors, community and business leaders, bums, drug addicts and other riff raff, as a friend, often in the same day. (I know, I know . . . you can make an argument that they're often one and the same . . . but you get my point!

Once when my husband and I were dating still and we were going to go out to garage sales (popular in this small town) and he put on this pitiful jacket and old worn jeans and I asked him if he wanted to change first. He said no, cuz the people will think he's poor and give him a better deal on the price. Guess what. It worked.

I think maybe you get more attention and have more friends that are really judge mental, because judge mental people don't really hang out with ugly people because they are to afraid to be seen with them.
So, maybe you get treated better when you look better.
P.S. I LOVE YOUR AVATAR! I LOVE FAMILY GUY, TOO!

My looks give me a natural advantage. I don't need to "use" them to get ahead in life.

OH, yeah. I've never changed a tire, or paid for a meal. Or the movies. I did buy my own car. But, I'll never change a tire.

At times, and at other times, it's a real disadvantage. Women can be catty and judgmental.
