No age is too old to start learning the piano! How fast you learn really depends on your own self-discipline and attention to what is happening in your lessons. If you go home and never practice what your teacher has taught during the lesson, you will not learn as fast. Practicing outside of your lessons everyday is VERY important to learning how to play the piano. You should at least give lessons a try and see how they go. Good luck!

There is never a bad time to learn any kind of an instrument. You are going to have a long life my friend so just work on it... by the time you are 36 you will have been playing the piano for twenty years! The rate at which you improve will depend on your dedication to practise and your natural abilities and god-given skills... more than anything have fun with it.

Practice - every day!

I dont know how long it will take for you to get good, because it depends on how quickly you learn. But it will take a few years i'd say.

And no you're never too old to start!
