she held him down after they started fighting. i tried to stop the fight but i couldnt resist dressing him up as a girl.

Maybe the 10 year old boy should have been babysitting both you and his sister. Clearly he's more mature than you are.

No, you shouldn't have done that. You should have figured out why they were angry and had them calm down somehow--distract them, separate them, whatever. All you did here was show that being a girl is somehow a bad and humiliating thing, to both kids, and indulge her anger. You hurt--and ultimately, you hurt them both, because you supported her bullying as well as his victimization. Sorry, I wish I could be nicer, but you asked.

That was poor judgment on your part as a baby sitter. I'm sure that you could all come up with something not quite as extreme as dressing him up as a girl.

you as the babysitter should have known better....If I were the parents of these children I would have grounded the girl, not paid you, and I would have called the cops on you for harassing my son... shame on you.
