I like the meaning of the name Aditi, but I am not a fan of the name itself. Why don't you google indian names, and their meanings and find the name you want that way? I went to school with a girl named Hima and she seemed like a leader and she was very independent. How about that?

How about Peace?
How about naming him or her after a person in History who DID acheive personal freedom or independence for others?
(Like Abe for Abe Lincoln? Martin for Martin Luther King?)

I've heard the name Liberty for a girl. You may not like it but I think it is absolutely beautiful!

"Will" if it's a boy? As in the concept of "free will?" I can't think of one for a girl. Good luck and congratulations.
