If so what if that person were a teenager or young child?

Age is not an issue. If they person is an immediate threat to my life, you could not order me NOT to kill them. If they are not a threat at all, no such order is legal, even in the military. There is plenty of ground between the 2 extremes.

I absolutely could. I wouldn't enjoy it but I could do it. If the person I killed were a young child; it would bother me. However, at the end of a day, if the only thing standing between me going home in a body bag is a bullet in a teen or child, it's going to be that poor kid.

Of course, the real killer is the one who encouraged that kid to pick up the gun in the first place. I hate to sound like a callous a s s h o l e, but unfortunately life give us a crappy hand.

I'm not a hitman or assassin I don't just take orders to kill people. If I was in the army or some anarchist mob group, I could get away with it, and of course their was a really good reason to do so. Ya I would beable to kill someone, I would actually rather target a child or teen becuase they won't beable to defend themselves as well. Who said that they were any better than adults?

I have, do I like to brag about it no. Have I killed in the defense of my life or other's lives yes. Have I killed a teenager or child, yes but when that teenager or child is strapped with plastic explosive and I saved the life of over 70 some of my battle buddies I did not even think twice my training and instict took over. Would I kill again yes. I hope this answers your question........Shadow Stalker by the way I hate when people ask me first thing when they find out I have been to war is if I have killed any one, it sickens me. Usually I reply with some smart *** answer like nah I handed candy out like miss america for two years. any one that brags about killing people hasnt actually killed any one. However like I said it does not bother me that I have killed I just dont go bragging about it

First, lets have two key words defined:
1. Kill
2. Murder

Biblically, God has ordered armys to KILL other armies and it was acceptable in God's eyes. When King David MURDERED Bathsheba's hubby by placing him in harm's way during some battles, then God was angry with him.

Abortion is MURDER.
War is KILLING.

Self-death is MURDER. (Suicide Bombers)
Hunting for food is KILLING.

So, if I were in the military, and I was told to KILL members of the enemy of my country, I would do so because I was not singly for personal gain taking another's life. If a child were approaching me with a bomb to MURDER someone, then the child would have to die - to be KILLED.

God's commandment, if fully understood as it was meant to be is:

THOU SHALT NOT MURDER.

Depends on the person.

There are already some people I'd like to kill--orders would just be gravy.

If I were ordered into combat? I'd have no problem with it at all.

Need to be more specific as to the orders...but yes I know I could. I would have to have reason, ie defense of myself or someone else
