You are all charged up.
Happens to most everyone, especially when it's very dry.
If you are wearing shoes with rubber heels and soles the electric charge that builds up on the surface of you clothing does not have a path to ground, so it accumulates and discharges whenever you touch anything made of metal.

Static electricity builds up on you from friction and is discharged when you touch something conductive.

If it's happening to you "constantly" there is probably something odd about your shoes, your carpets or you tend to shuffle your feet when walking (possibly all three). Most people rarely experience static shocks like this.

if u walk around our house with socks the friction happening in between your socks and carpet causes u to have a reaction when you touch a metal object
