I am going to tell you plain and simple, Americans did not vote for retreat. Oh yes that is what the socialists want you to believe, but it is a BIG LIE.
Americans were sick of the Congress just spending money, there was no mandate about Iraq, it was about spending money and the idiot socialists are lying as usual.
Congress did not declare war, they authorized the use of force. I do not believe they can take it back. Their only option legally is to not fund it, but of course at that point they become responsible for losing the war against terrorism.
Keep in mind the socialists ALL VOTED FOR the use of force, excuse me one did not, but all the rest did. They knew it needed to happen, now they are trying to pander to their socialist anti-war base, which is why they can never win the WH, Americans are not communists and will not support it, they are not pacifists and they will not go along with it.
Assuming the thieves in congress continue on their current path you can look forward to a republican congress and a republican WH. You should tell them thank you now.

I don't think "retreat" is the correct word. Retreat would mean immediately ceasing and desisting. Putting the Iraqi government in charge of their own country would be a little better!
Unfortunately, yet thankfully, the founding fathers named three branches of government to provide for situations like this. However, even though Republicans had no problem passing through every bit of legislation they wanted and the President rubber-stamped them all, they will continue to bemoan something that doesn't go their way and accuse Dems of trying to change things.
It's hypocrisy no matter how you look at it!

Last I checked the war was only one issue of what people were concerned about.
And it wasnt really far ahead of several other issues.
And no they dont have the power to un-declare it. they have the power to defund it. thats all.

The Democrats now control the house because the last bunch was worthless. You'd still have Rumsfeld staying the course right now otherwise.
