Because he's a cutie pie and girls like him!!
Also: there's a lot of American Idol "mockery" going on with people voting for the worst (Sanjaya) and trying to make American Idol messed up. Which is kind of immature, in my opinion...

There's alot of preteen girls that like him. (personally i think he's gay) but yea, all these little kiddies are voting him in. Plus theres the whole howard stern thing, he said that they can kill american idol if they let the worst singer win. Uh I think it already happened! Taylor Hicks did NOT deserve to win last year! It shouldve been Chris Daughtery.
