Which is larger? The superior vena cava or the aorta?
And does the aorta have the thicker wall compared to the aorta? Thanks for the help.

This site says that the superior vena cava is about 2 cm in diameter. http://www.meddean.luc.edu/lumen/MedEd/Radio/curriculum/Vascular/Veins.htm

This related site says that the aorta is the largest blood vessel and has a diameter of about an inch. Since an inch is 2.54 cm, then the aorta has a larger diameter.

This site also says the aorta is the largest single blood vessel in the body.

The aorta has a thicker, more muscular wall so it can withstand the pressure of the blood being pumped directly from the heart.

The superior vena cava is larger in diameter than the aorta generally speaking... though all anatomy varies
