Something so very simple and delicious which everybody in my family loves! While it's cooking in the oven .... I have time to answer your question! LOL
Preheat oven to 400 F. Spray a bit of Pam to coat bottom of a roasting pan.
Take 6 or 7 Italian sausages and cut them in half so that the pieces are smaller.
Peel about 5 potatoes and quarter them. Lay them on top of the sausages.
Peel and quarter 2 regular onions and also place them on top of the sausages.
Pop the roasting pan into the oven and cook for about 3/4 of an hour perhaps 1 hour, until the potatoes are done.
After about 20 minutes of cooking time, give everything a turn so that the sausages brown evenly and the potatoes get coated with the juices in the bottom of the pan.
Serve this with sliced tomatoes or if you prefer a salad, cooked veggies or nothing at all.
Left overs (if there should be any) can be diced and fried up the following day. Toss it all into a frying pan and when everything is heated thoroughly, scramble an egg over the top and stir until the egg is cooked. Sprinkle with a bit of Parmesan cheese and you've got another meal!
Bon appetite .... I've got to go and give my sausages and potatoes a turn now! ; )
You're welcome to join us .... there's plenty for us all!

It seems I am late lol
Ok yesterday night, I cooked salmon with herbs,
(s)mashed potatoes and a fresh lettuce salad. All this accompanied with a nice white wine.
Tonight I am planning on baking a meet (meat) pie, with more nice white wine...
Whatever I have for dinner, even if it is a piece of white bread, I need my white wine and candles.
Edited: because I was going to thank you for the invitation, but noticed you said "especially for the youngsters"...arghhhhh....LOL

I had a feeling we had something in common. I used to make a mean spaghetti sauce. Everyone that ate it at our home wanted it when they visited again.
We are having left over wedding reception food from Saturday. That was baked chicken with a wonderful sauce, new potatoes, mixed veggies, fresh green beans, some kind of fancy rice(never had before)rolls and wedding cake.We will be eating that till we celebrate our 54th wedding ann. on Fri. and off on our trip to HSV, Ark.. The wedding couple left for honeymoon to Europe yesterday from here, Houston,Tx..
Enjoy your meal, We have.~~~~~~~~Jill
