Both, for sure!
Giving is wonderful -- makes me so happy to see the look on her face, and know I'm giving her just what she wants. And receiving is great, too -- I can almost feel her affection and caring wrapped up with the gift.
And sometimes, it's even fun to exchange gifts simultaneously.
