It all depends on situation. For example, I used to work with a company which provides GPS monitoring of people who are released from jail on house arrest. I failed this job miserable because I was a bit too kind for this job field. Believe me, these people will take advantage of your kindness, so in my case it would be considered as weakness.
On the other hand, I am very kind to my daughter's friend, so they all want me to adopt them. I do not consider it as weakness.

Kindness is strength. Don't trust anybody tell who will tell you any different. They have an agenda. There is a difference between being kind and being a push over.
