Yes on both counts. They can interbreed but it's not a good idea to do it. They babies are often malformed and are usually sterile.

Yes. I have a molly that did breed with a Platty. It is a beautiful fish! I call it a Plolly - I'm not sure if it's sterile. I do remember there being a number of disfigured fish in the bunch. Hope this helps.

No. Platys and Swordtails share the genus Xiphophorus, however Mollies are of the genus Poecilia which would prevent fry from the mating of Mollies with either Platys or Swordtails.

Platties and swordtails yes. In fact most swordtails have a little platty in them and most platties have a little swordtail in them.
I have bred platties, swordtails and mollies semi-professionally about 25 years now.
