if we had taken iranian sailors hostage there would have been public outcry and there would have been flag burning in the streets, why is there no such outcry by britons. is it because we will not lower ourselves to that or is it we dont actually care that much ?

Also, if we brits did take iranian hostages, we would not force them to wear western clothes (boob tube and mini skirt) as they have made our sailor wear their's

I'm sure we all care. I hate to sound corny over this but the simple answer is that we're British.

Firstly, by that I mean we're not a bunch of religious freaks and secondly, we tend to think in a more logical manner and, as such, realise that flag burning is not going to achieve anything.

To understand you have to forget what americans or brits would do. Most if all of their acts are driven by religion, and extreme nationalism. Their heads of religion are the ones that call the shots, although their countries king or president is considerate there spiritial leader as well. So if the mullas say jump they are bound by their rules to do as they are told. It is a lot like our watts riots, once crowd mentality takes over it just spreads like wild fire.

Oooooh. You see, it's not the same. For a start, we protestors/flag burning/demo type are against the war. We're all for peace, even if we have to fight for it. So let's just ignore it. And also, well it's their culture and when visiting a country we should be made to follow their fashions. etc...
We are more concerned about endangered spotted moths, what are few sailors caught in an unpopular conflict? Would you like another cup of tea?

I don't think enough people are aware of the current situation. Those who know about what is going on over in Iran are upset, I'm sure. Of course if we were to ever do something like that to anyone it would be seen as a terrible act. We're Americans, we're above doing something like that so if we did- of course people would be upset.

Didn;t you hear about the Iranian DIplomats who were taken fron their embassy in Iraq, and are still being held?
The flag burners that you see on the news are Iranian student radicals. Do American student radicals represent your views?

Hypocrasy at its greatest, we have to do what their law says, and anyone hwo comes into this country do what they want. The isuse of muslim and cristianity is as hot of a subject as it was when the religion split and became what they are today, both full of double standards

I would suggest taking all Iran immigrants hostage then sending a message to the terrorists saying they were going to be put on trial for the heck of it. Sad part is THEY WON'T CARE! Ignorant dummies demanding attention. That's what it all boils down to.
