The morning after pill (Plan B) is basically just a higher dose of birth control. It is NOT an abortion pill.

Plan B prevents the egg from be fertilized, which prevents pregnancy.

The abortion pill is used for women who are ALREADY pregnant and kills the developing baby.

Planned Parenthood actually recommends ALL women have Plan B in their medicine cabinets just in case there is an "accident". A accident can be forgetting to take your regular birth control, the condom breaking or slipping off, etc. Having Plan B right in your medicine cabinet makes it extremely convenient in case something happens.

The morning after pill prevents fertilization and can not be used after 72 hours after having sex because it will not work. It is not an abortion pill.

Many unwanted pregnancies are not discovered until after the 72 hour mark and so the pill would be of no use. Abortions (legal or not) will continue as long as unwanted pregnancies continue and those will continue as long as sex does...I don't see an end to this cycle. As long as they are going to be happening, let's keep them safe and legal.

I think birth control pills only work before you get pregnant. That's why they are called birth control pills you know.

Maybe.

I wish women would put their babies up for adoption.
