Truly a thorny question. If I was the King, I'd say no way. You dirty bastards have been dissing us all this time and now when the chips are down, you expect us to bail you out.
Get Bent!

But alas, I am not the King....

To show everyone their benevolence, the US bent over backwards to prove that we are not vengeful or vindictive, but to be truly charitable to our unfortunate muslim brothers and sisters after the tsunami in Indonesia.
I don't have the exact number, but we give out billions in foreign aid, disaster relief, and fund projects to help poverty and suchlike all over the world.

Although I agree with your statement about the American Syndrome, most disagreements are not between the people of the countries involved, but between the politics of their leaders. This said , who in good conscience would leave innocent victims of a natural disaster to lament in their own suffering without lending a humanitarian effort to relieve some of the burden. Certainly not the United States, nor any of it's allies. This is but one trait that sets us apart from the rest of the world. A trait I believe will endure no matter what . It is who we are!

What country your from isn't going to matter. We are all human beings. They shouldn't expect help. They should ask.
You'd be surprised how much help a person or country can get by asking.

Countries like America and Australia are above what people say about them. We're good people, we'll help people no matter what they think if we think it's a worthy cause.

How many times we have heard "Death to America!" from Iran?....Yet, we helped them twice when they suffered 2 devastating earthquakes. We always help people struck by disaster, no matter how much they hate us.

You're right, but that's the trait that makes us great, that makes us different from our enemies and critics. We stoop down to help them when they fall, and that shames them.
