File for separation and divorce in your local court through a lawyer.

Go to your local court house and filefor divorce based on drug and spousal abuse. You will probably be awarded automatically custody of the children with support, the house due to the children, and possible spousal support. Any proof you have on him for the above accusations will be of great help in court. Dont use or rely on hearsay as the courts hate it and may actually backfire on you. You dont need an attorney here unless you really want one and can afford it, otherwise hire a Paralegal if necessary which is just as good and a whole lot less, or contact your legal aid assoc.if needbe for free attorney if you qualify. Good luck

1) Get a good divorce attorney
2) Ask the attorney to sue for sole custody of the children
3) Get a good job (or stay in the good job you already have)
4) Contact your kid's schools, telling them what's going on, and ask for their support...until the initial hearing, your husband will still have the right to pick up the kids, unless you speak to your attorney about that as well.
5) Verify with your attorney that reporting your husband's drug problem will need to be reported to the proper authorities.
6) If he's physically abused your or your children, document each occurence with photos, a trip to the doctor, and a trip to the D.A.'s office with your attorney.

Good luck. You are doing the right thing when it comes to protecting yourself & your children.

Call a lawyer. He/She will get the ball rolling.

If abuse is involved, get out of the situation immediately, and get the children out of it as well. Do not allow this man to abuse you or your children another minute. Call 911 if you have to, and get to a shelter. Good luck.
