A really devastating tsunami hit Sumatra, Thailand,Nicobar Islands and Sri Lanka two years ago. Thousands perished. A latest incident in the Pacific a day ago seems worrying. I do not think this is attributed to climate change. What do the experts think of this ? Are we to expect more ?

perhaps just another consequence of world wide media, the news travels faster and farther. not that it happens more we just hear it more.

No, there are a few every year. They just never got the press like they do now since the big disaster a few years ago.
