The first post is right. Except for newborns (0-3 months), babies should be fed enough during the day that they shouldn't need to eat at night. If he/she is older and wakes up in the night, either try to ignore it or rub their back and say goodnight but do not pick them up, to teach them to sleep through the night. It's hard at first, but better for everyone in the end.

If you have a newborn, I would make one before you go to bed to have in the frige, ready to go. He/she should not need more than one during the night. Read the label of your formula to see how long they recommend it sit out before throwing it. I would say typically 6-12 hours for refrigerated formula.

If you do have bottles ready for nighttime feedings make sure they are refrigerated. Breast milk and formula will go bad in a few hours if left out on the counter or in a bedroom. The bottles can be heated in boiling water (safest way to do it). Babies (newborns) should eat every 3 hours or so. So if you go to bed at 10 have one ready for 1, 4, and 7. Hope that helps a little.

if they are hungry, make a bottle then. but unless you enjoy waking up in the middle of the night, i would advise trying to get the baby to sleep during the night. i figured out when my son was 2 months old that he would wake up for no apparent reason other than to have some company. he wasn't hungry, he just wanted company. so i let him cry it out one night (he cried for maybe 2 minutes) and he fell asleep on his own. from that point on he slept until at least 6 or 7 in the morning!!

You can have the formula in the bottles already (with the nipple and lid on) and then keep a bottle of water nearby so that you can simply add the water when the baby is ready for the bottle.

It depends on how old your baby is. If your baby is 6 months or older they should not be getting bottles at night!

yes if u use liquid not powder. I make enough bottles for a day or two and as long as they are not heated they will be fine to keep on hand

Formula is only good for an hour, so don't make it ahead f time, bt you can have everything measured and waiting.
