Friction caused by the beating heart? I really dont know.

Hmmmm, good question. If i recall correctly it is because of heat that is let off during chemical reactions. This occurs all the time. If you know anythign about physics then you know that no reaction is 100% efficent. Therefore the energy put in is not completely put out as the same type of energy. And what would you guess the different type of energy is? You guessed it! Heat!

We are endotherms, we create our own heat from the inside by muscles moving and blood circulating.
