with only 3 games left in the season and the team in first place? That's insane! He must have done something. Why else would you jeopardize shaking up the team right as the playoffs are about to begin?
Or is Lou Lamoriello just nuts?

What Julien did was take a job working for the mad scientist of hockey. This isnt something he hasnt done in the past, in 99/00 he fired Ftorek with 8 games left in the season and replaced him with Robinson. That worked out pretty well....they won the Cup. He says the team wasnt playing the type of hockey he thinks they needed to so they could win the Cup this year (Julien did a great job when one considers he used a lot of minor leaguers due to injuries and cap problems created by Lamoriello). He also did this last year...it didnt work out so well but who knows. The guy is crazy....or brilliant!

There is a good reason Julien did to get fired...He worked for Lou Lamoriello. Lamoriello wants all the credits for the Devils winning the cup, if they did. Julien had the second best record in hockey with almost no scoring a difficult feat, but it wasn't enough because just one of his players is hurt as of now

I think he is nuts. This is the second time he has done this. He also says that the team isn't physically or mentally ready for playoffs? Well, there not now. Hello genius, I really think the Devils are going to go far now. Someone just buy the franchise and get rid of Lou----ser!

i agree with you completely. i think lamoriello is insane. why the hell would u shake up the team like that for no reason? there are many suspicions that i have..first maybe julien did something behind the scenes to get fired. second maybe lamoriello just wants to take over and just in case they do win the cup, he wants the credit. third lamoriello is psychotic. i don't know which one it is or if its something totally different but those are the possibilities I've come up with

i dont get it either, the only thing i can think of is the owner doesnt like him but thats still wrong to fire a coach who has you in first place!
