The only difference between the Xbox and the Xbox 360 is the graphics and the consoles processing power. The 360 can allow you to go online and download movies and other stuff. Also, Microsoft has stopped producing the old Xbox and its games.

There are 2 price differences in the Xbox 360 because, the cheaper version doesn't come with a built in harddrive. The more expensive version comes with a 20GB Harddrive and wireless controllers. The cheaper Xbox comes with lousy wired controllers.

Yes, I say that you should get the 4 year old a nintendo ds. Most children have the DS and love it.

The 360 is the NEXT-GEN Xbox. What makes it better is what's inside. That and the HD compatibility. The 360 is more powerful. Would have to get all technical and stuff to really get into it, so leave it more or less as the 360 is the Next Gen, like a PS3 is the next gen of PS2 which was the next gen of PS.

there are major difference between the two. the xbox 360 has way better graphics and way better games. the xbox live on 360 is better. and plus it even looks better than that bulky and ugly original xbox. its only $300 more.
