Do they have the keys to the nuke box?
Ask the Iranians politely. Then ask them directly. If that fails and the sailors aren't released stronger measures are required.
Send in the RAF to take out strategic airfields. Then let the Royal Navy come in and start off shore shelling with the big guns that haven't been fired for over twenty years.
This has a double effect. One, it requires replacement shells and stimulates the economy. Two, those big shells can do a lot of damage.
The Iranian government is playing a bad game of poker. They're trying to hold on to the cards they have to get as much mileage as possible before folding.
