true, lime green is on the color wheel as an analogous complementary BUT if your character isn't going for a gaudy look try oranges, tints or shades of pink, or any neutral color. neutral meaning everything in the browns and tans category as well as black and white. purple makes pink ultra girly maybe even too Barbie-ish. stay away from it unless you want the character to be tacky. try to think of your context and personality as well. my favorite combo for dancing with pink is black because it is dynamic and somewhat bold. lime and pink spell preppy to me for some reason. white and pink are rather fresh looking. orange and pink are beachy. experiment with them! :)

Like the others said... it really depends on the shade. For a lighter pink... I would say a tan or maybe a yellow or green. For a more of a medium pink... Bright orange... dark green... purple too. For a dark pink... red- sometimes. orange? NO! EWW!!! purple, maybe. I don't really know- I'm not an expert.

Gray is a nice color with pink. Also white or black are nice depending on what you're using the colors for. Just stay away from other colors with other red tones (orange, tan, peach...).

You can now put any color with any other color, but the hue has to be the same. I like pink with bright green myself. However, I'm curious to know why you need colors so soon into the writing.

grey....i cooked up a spiral colour spectrum to help visualize the spectrum including blak and white, the browns and grey scale are included. In this idiom grey and violet are opposites, so the opposite of pink would be a brown - grey maybe like autumn leaves.

the prettiest and most flattering colors I have seen with pink have been chocolate and baby blue with some cream mixed in.
