Is there something wrong with my sound card?

My sound seems to be working perfectly but today, when I went to play a Nexon game, it got disconnected and said that my sound card was either missing or the settings were wrong?

Games are infamous for messing up PC settings.
Do a system restore to a point prior to when the game was installed ASAP.
