i was wondering because I want to open my own studio. I want to take portraits and hang other photos on the wall to sell. Like nature and abstract and others. What do you think?

Why don't you try some panoramic shots.
Or maybe some futuristic shots.
or nature shots.
or black & white portraits of people but using some pastel colors as highlights. I've seen these and they look good!

Black and white photos are so superior. I can't believe how back in the day everyone wanted colour film. They thought the old black and white was boring. Wrong!!!!!

Landscapes, changing portraits, and space-scapes painted by guys on the street with nothing but spray paint at their disposal. :)
