How were you affected by the pet food recall?

Do you have a pet? Do you not? I think everyone was some way affected by this. My dog's food was not recalled. I work in retail and the small amount of pet food we carry was not recalled. This morning I had to search for Gravy Train beef sticks and check all of the alpo. (Lucky me it's on specail this month so we have LOTS) So how has it affected you?

I wasn't effected much myself: The food I give my cats wasn't on the recall list.

But I did share the news I found with a number of my friends and family- and two of them did find tainted pet food in their pantries. One of them had a puppy who already had health problems, so she was watching him closely.

I am sorry but I have no pets but if I did no matter what, I would sent back the food just to make sure it's not contaminated. I would care so much for a pet. Hold on to your dog as long as you can!

I work at Petco, and everyday at least 3 people come up to me and ask if the food we sell is safe. I know that is not a lot of people but...I'm a groomer. I don't work the sales floor or the register. I'm happy to help but...am tired of the question. Now shampoo, nail clippers and appointments are my expertise.

I feed my dogs nutro natural choice, but luckily its wheat gluten free. My neighbors had a dog get very ill after eating a can of some of the wet dog food. Luckily they caught it before they fed her more.

I would be NUTS if any of my pets had eaten that food.
Thank goodness they only get Purina dry food, and 9-Lives wet food.

I have 4 pets and it didn't have any effect on me at all.
