The prettiest fencing is the white plastic fences. They are also safe as they have high visibility for the horses, and aren't as likely to splinter like wood would. It makes a place look very upscale and professional in my opinion!

That probably depends significantly on what the rest of the space looks like...Will it be attached to an old-fashioned red barn with white trim? If so then perhaps the best answer is a simple rail fence painted white (a picket fence is usually not tall enough to keep horses inside the pen).
If it's on property that is all natural - with lots of stone and/or natural wood, you might consider a split-rail fence, or one made from wood that still has the bark on (I think this is often less expensive, even).

white rail fence....looks wonderful. especially with some evergreens...but thats just me...any trees look great with it though. picket fences can be VERY dangerous because of, well, the pickets, if a horse tries to jump...you get the idea. the link below will give you an idea.

You could go white picket, but that is not strong enough for the elements. If you want a good fence, stick with simple metal rail fences. They are the best and do not clash any scenery.

I like the plastic composite triple rale fence. Always looks so "ranchy" and it's very sturdy and practical. Little pricey though.
