how do I know which one is x and which one is y?

First find the slope: (0+3)/(0+2)=3/2.
Next use the point slope formula to obtain: y=3/2x.
Now place in standard form: 2y=3x.....2y-3x=0.

use the equation (y1-y2)=m(x1-x2)

you have two values of y and two values of x.

(x1,y1)= (0,0) (x2,y2) = (-2,-3)

Solve:

(0--3)=m(0--2)
3=m(2)
m=3/2
now u have the slope of the line.

now "standard'' form can be two different things
Ax+By=C, Ax+By+C=0
Take the slope intercept form
y=mx+b and solve for C or 0

y=3/2(x) +0
-3/2(x) +y = 0

The other points are up to you :D

GOOD LUCK
