First off....a government should never control its people. Its people should control it. Secondly, we should abolish public business ownership. This would eliminate the focus on only pleasing shareholders. By privatizing businesses again, it would force companies to give the customer what they want or go out of business.

The question is rather contradictory given the fact the government is corporate America! The problem with it is they are all the millionaires and billionaires promoting their greed beyond all borders! It's a sure sign capitalism in it's current form is doomed for failure! There are no checks and balances within the system and the people have LOST their voice-many moons ago! With all the spineless programed people in this country, change is highly unlikely however, further erosion is imminent!

A government of, by and for the people. Nope don't see Exxon in that anywhere. I think it is obvious that is what has happened. Corporate America is in charge. Capitalism is the economics's of greed and the more they make the more they want to make and will stop at nothing to buy the government. .

Right now I think it's the first one, but it should be that the people control the government and the government controls businesses...but I'm sure neo-cons don't agree with me.

Those with $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ = POWER. Has been that way throughout history. Money is POWER in this world. What is the logic of raising Billions of dollars to win a job which pays $400k a year. HELLO ! ! Those who get the Power Positions make it easy for those with $$$$$$$$$$$$ who supported them to make even more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. It's not right, it just is.

Government is made to serve the rich and screw the poor. How many poor presidents have we had? If you think the poor can take the rich's beast and turn it into its own you are crazy. Limited government is the answer because it protects all people from interference from others as much as possible.
