The future is here now. And it is both. Big Brother is creeping quietly into everything. The Nanny State is upon us. Pharmaceutical companies are pushing for more and more patients to poison. The North American Union is just around the corner. Healthy People 2010 is just a few years away. Food is being controlled now and everyone knows the way to control people is to control the food supply.
Wake up, America. You must wake up.

If given a choice I would pick the movie Soilent Green. An America so over populated, over ruled, over diseased that we end up eating our own. After all we pay farmers not to grow. We gave animals the same rights as children. We want to cut manufacturing emissions so more jobs leave the US. We want to raise the min wage so high a hamburger that will kill you from to much cholesterol will cost you $5.00. At least in Soilent Green we found a way to feed people with out stepping on the personal rights of pita.

Brave New World--all the constant media coverage...you can't tell fact from fiction anymore, it is all just a mindless drone of over-information. We even have a drug on the market now called Soma--muscle relaxant...soma was a bit different in the book though.
That's funny you mention that, I was talking about the same thing just yesterday. :o)

Left up to the SOCIALISTS in congress it is definitely going to be 1984, where everyone looks the same, dresses the same, marches in lock step to what the Vanguard of the Elite tell them to do, where to work, how much they will get to keep, where they can live...............gee, that sounds amazingly like the old USSR.
Maybe the socialists are looking to change the name also, like United Socialist States of America.
How do you like that idea?
