You know these days kids claim they are in "love". They all want that fairy tale story and happy ending and see a cute guy interested in them and BAM "OMG ITS LOVE". That happens a lot these days doesn't it? No wonder adults doubt young love. It does exist. Happens; but rarely last forever.
The saying "you don't know what love is" "you don't know what you want""its not real love, its puppy love" etc.
Love is a strong emotion and people say its so strong it could practically move mountains if it could. And with love anything is possible. Love, there is no thinking whether someone loves whomever or no. You just know. Which is why the feeling is undescribable. When its real; you refuse to let go. You keep trying and hoping, you have faith. Regardless of the other person's bad you still see the good. Even if the world thinks you're crazy or says no. You don't give up. As much as it seems impossible it isn't. Pain; just because someone doesn't love you or feel the same way isn't their fault

you can't tell them what to feel. Even if they do cause you pain love is forgiving. And if it wasn't worth it will you still be waiting? Because you would know. If it was meant for you to move on than you will regardless of how "hard" you think it is. But my point is... real love doesn't give up.
Even if it hurts. You just know the person's the one, not now but maybe one day.
Opinions? sorry if this is too long.

I once heard a teacher say that he couldn't allow his high school students to write about love because 1) they never, ever came up with anything new and 2) they had no clue what real love is, since they had no seen enough of love and lost love to really understand it.

I once saw a retreat leader ask how old a person had to be to really be able to know what love is. Guess what happened? Everyone chose their own age and said it could not happen before that age, at all, ever.

I think the teacher's idea is best, when a person can write a poem and say something new about love, something that no one has ever said before or expressed before, then we can say that this person, this author, has found in love something that no one has ever gone through, they have found their own story. Until then, love for me is really just about the same as love for you, it's just we were conditioned and are in different places, therefore we fall in love with different people, happily so.

Love is energy. It is similar to oxygen in the air.
We are like instruments, say wind instruments.
How you push the air (oxygen, love) through yourself (instrument) determines what kind of music you make and what kind of dance can manifest. It is contagious, first thing you know the music vibrations get other instruments (people, animals, things, vibrating in the same frequency. The universe is made of this love energy and since it is contagious, the universe expands.
I apologize for not reading beyond the first sentence, but I hope my decision was correct and you will still gain from my answer. All is well. Enjoy it as it sings through your being!
