How do you get your clothing in stores?

Hi, i was wondering how independent tshirt companies get there clothing sold in stores like pac-sun or random boutiques.

Me and a friend were having this conversation last night haha

For large stores, it's difficult. For small stores, you simply ask the buyer or owner.
