Can someone please tell me why every time Alex Rodriguez strikes out all yankee fans boo. Like in todays game, when he missed that pop up because it wasnt his fault, all the yankees fans booed. Jorge Posada didn't even try to get it and nobody booed at him. Then, a couple play or innings later Derek Jeter throws a wild throw to first. I didn't hear one yell at him. Yankee fans should be grateful that they have a player like A-Rod. i hope Alex Rodriguez next year goes to a better and loyal fans of another team.

What is your opinion.!

Alex Rodriguez is the highest paid player in all of Major League Baseball. It is a matter of jealosy; people that played baseball in little league assume that because he is paid so well he should be perfect and get better every day.

What they fail to realize is that however good Derek Jeter is at shortstop (and he is one of the best all-around players I have ever seen), A-Rod is still a better athlete and has a greater talent. The fact that he agreed to move to a new position (third base) when he was the best shortstop in the entire Major Leagues should show that he is a team player.

Alex Rodriguez is a normal person that wants to be appreciated. He is not by the Yankee fans.

It was A-Rod's fault that he didn't catch the pop-up.
Jorge Posada didn't go after it because its harder for catchers to make the catch.
I agree with you on the wild throw by Derek Jeter, but that was partly Josh Phelps fault too.
A-Rod was booed when he struck out, but cheered when he scored.

Yankees have a bad fan-base IMO.
A-Rod doesn't deserve to be booed. He won the AL - MVP while wearing a pin-stripes uniform.
Yankee fans probably wouldn't be Yankee fans, if they haven't have won 26 world series titles anyways.
Yankee fans are ignorant and ungrateful of the players they have IMO.
They might opt- out on A-Rod anyways.
He'll probably go to the Angels or Giants, if they do.

Go Mets ! :)

i think it has gotten ridiculous with yankee fans attacking a-rod, he is still a great player no matter what and the fans don't realize that he is still the most talented player in the game today...however, he doesn't respond well to pressure, and the fans only make it more difficult for him...he will need to produce in the playoffs and bring a world series title back to the bronx before he will be half as loved as jeter is, and the reason jeter is loved is because he was a key player on their championship teams from the late 90s and in 2000

i think that the fact that he plays for the yankees is why. You can go to any other team and do that and u wont get booed at, but since it's in New York where most of the attention is, that's why and plus the fact that players like jorge and jeter dont make as much mistakes as he does.

That is a really good question. i think it is because the Yankee fans don't see how good Ales Rodriguez is. he really is a really good player and they need to give him a chance to show it. maybe if they stopped booing him, he would play better. And i hope he goes to the Cardinals. St.Louis has some of the best fans so he would get appreciated here

Not ALL the Yankee fans booed. There was a smattering of boos when A-Rod missed the pop-up. What do you expect when the guy made 25 errors the year before.

Wow, ur fans would boo if a guy made 25 errors last year, and couldn't hit in the playoffs.

Stop Stereotyping, stupid ****, because not all Yankee fans r like that, dumbass.

It was totally uncalled for. It's the first game of the season against Tampa Bay for crying out loud.

The guy homered later on. The fans were out of line on this one. A-Rod did not deserve that at all.

thats new yorkers for you. i think mostly its because of arods contract. which pays him a quarter billion. the fans expect more production out of him which is unfair because arod is a great player. and he always has 110+runs 30+ HRs 120+ rbis. jeter is their beloved captain and the fans will never turn on him no matter how much he chokes in the playoffs or no matter how overrated he really is, he doesnt deserve those gold gloves. and because the media loves him so much. this is how it goes with the cameramen, they show the pitcher, the hitter, jeter, torre, pitcher, jeter, hitter, jeter. i mean he is always being shown and yea he is like the golden boy of baseball.

new york yankee fans only love winners. Arod seems a little weak pretty boy that has never really won. Fans can't seem to notice his greatness they don't care about the regular season the only way he get respectet is win a championship and have a good world series.
